Re: Hello

How do you find these courses?

i am just having one on one with my psychologist, who isn't seeming to like the conversational therapy that my sessions with her have seemed to become?

Re: Hello

Hi,

The ACT course which I am doing is fantastic, challenging and eye opening. It's helping to focus the brain away from the cycle of negativity and reaction, to acknowdgement and values. I still have a long way to go but so far so good.

Re: Hello

Hi @Ode,

Your first message is good to read :0)
You are brave to just write it like it is.
how are you?

My name is .......(Anne)
. how are you finding your therapy?
I found my pasT therapy mind saving.

Do you feel like spending time alone when it finishes?
I don't know what conversational therapy. Is. It must be about trusting another person?

Jeepers, reads very interesting.
I started seeing Psychiatrists at age 16. My Mum was trying to get me committed because she had a breakdown, my step Dad left her for being Gay and I had just been hit by a car and got brain damage, deep coma for 6 weeks. I've been diagnosed with a mix mash of things like BPD, plain crazy, Paranoid once, one Psychiatrist told Mum once to get me locked up.....
The ones that stick is that I've got um.....(keep on forgetting) PTSD, brain damage...therefore long term complications from head injury. And falling into borderline tendencies when stressed.
If I don't take my medication, I go very stressed out and frantic almost immediately. I must take it as soon as I wake up. .....
My oldest son spends times in mental ill health. He manages himself the best he can.
My youngest son had brain tumour for 15 years......then he recovered.

but I cannot remember a. Time when I have deliberately hurt myself. Except once or twice feeling so dizzy I'm going to faint.

I decided to get better when about 24 and began many years of Psychoanalysis.

Did it help? Freud used to state that analysis was just about going from severe neurotic anxiety to finishing therapy and being Just plainly unhappy. I get Silver chain to come in one a week to once a fortnight to keep me going.

thanks to Sane forums, I made up with my Mum. she has practically yelled at me every time she talks to me.....since a teenager. Last year, in August, she just stopped. I found myself saying to someone a couple of weeks ago that I love my Mum very much.

do you get along with family?
Friends?

I have a dog called Arlo. Named after Arlo Gutherie, the guy and his Dad, Woody Gutherie influenced Bob Dylan with their .....narrative songs......

Looking forward to reading from you. you name is very cute.
