Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Owlunar  ... havent seen you around for a few days.  Hoping you are okay?

Also I am thinking you may have missed my latest post to you here ... bottom of previous page, dated 10th Dec.  I think @BlueBay wrote just after mine came up, and hers came up on a new page.  You did respond to BlueBay, but not mine.  Easy to miss posts when they come in consecutively and onto a new page. I know I have done that in the past.

Anyway ... how have you been the past week, since I last posted here?  Sending my best wishes to you, as always.

I'm currently filling in a bit of time in between 2 of hubbys specialist appointments this morning.  One down, one to go.

Sherry 😊

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Former-Member @BlueBay @Maggie @Shaz51 @Gazza75  etc

I took a short time out to refresh myself - perhaps Christmas and all the goes with is was pretty intensive - okay but there is always and empty chair that has been empty for so long it doesn't exist for anyone else by now - it does drain me though

But I am okay - being alone is fine for me and I just took it easy -

The bushfires are high in my thoughts atm - and although this isn't the place to be political and I am not really interested but it's unfair to take it out on the Prime Minister imo - he took a few days off with his family - why should he not do that - it would not have changed the situation

And considering just how many people and organisations are involved with evacuations and fire-fighting and preparedness before the fires - it is a massive community effort and let's focus on that - how people are coping with their problems and community problems - there has been some incredible courage

I am thinking about the coming year - I will be seeing the pain specialist week after next - I have been trying to cut back on one of my medications - knowing this is part of the deal with the new guy - it's not easy doing that - but I am doing it - hoping he will do facet joint injections

I was thinking of going to Cradle Mountain in March but with these firest I don't think I will be going anywhere until the winter -

Also I am wondering if I will try the U3A again this year - I was disappointed with the class I went to last year - there was a guy who wanted to change everyone's beliefs and then people started complaining about politics - it wasn't what I expected or enjoyed but I might try something like singing -

It's better to try something - it's amazing how fast last year went -

And I wish everyone the best possible year - under the current circumstances that might be inimaginable - but nevertheless the year will come to pass and I hope we can all make the best fist we can of it

Re: Life can be a Pain

hello and hugs my second mum @Owlunar HeartHeart

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar  Christmas is behind us, and the new year ahead. I wonder what the year ahead will bring. I hope some pain relief for you. Cutting back on meds is no easy task. All the best with that @Owlunar

I know you have a lot of hope in this coming appointment. Wishing you all the very best for the best outcome.

I too have been watching the bushfires, with pain in my heart, for our country in so many ways. People, homes, animals a bush land, all gone. It’s a deep tragedy, felt by us all.

Dont put off your visit to cradle mountain yet @Owlunar . March is a few mths away. It’s beautiful there, good for the soul.

I wish you all the very best for the year ahead @Owlunar , whatever you decide to do, I hope it bring you enjoyment. 💛💛💛🦉🦉🦉🦉
