Re: Para or Symp

@Misty7 grounding is bringing yourself back to the present moment in your body (the body is a container and we get our safety within it, very primal). So, yes you can do 5 things you see, 4 you hear etc. But, there are plenty of other ways to ground - barefoot in nature; hug a tree; meditate with a crystal in yoir non-dominant hand; hug yourself (left hand under right armpit, right hand hugging the top of your left arm near the shoulder...very peaceful.

Re: Para or Symp

Thankyou again. I will try the hugging one. If you have any more tips please let me know.

Re: Para or Symp

@Misty7 it sounds very hippy I know but after about ten minutes you start to feel the connection with another living being. Plants have a serenity to them that we can feel.

Re: Para or Symp

@MedicinalGypsyI actually collapsed from an overload and that is how I found out about the vagus nerve (Its called vasovagal syncope), body just goes into shut down. It happened at workplace which was super embarrassing. It comes right in a short while fortunately. Scary when it happens though.

Re: Para or Symp

@Icarislanded

I understand I collapsed last August stress overload fell backwards onto timber floor my mother has Alzimhers she didn't even know unfortunately i meet incontinence when I became conscious and very sore
Its unbelievable journey one day at a time

Re: Para or Symp

@MedicinalGypsy - yes, much the same circumstances with regard to stress overload at the time. It was around Covid before the furloughs came in. FYI, if it ever happens again, the quickest fix is to lay flat on the floor and have your legs raised about 6 inches - you will come right in around a minute.

Re: Para or Symp

@Icaruslandedthank you apologies slow response ive had trouble logging in

Technology feels difficult some days 🙏

Re: Para or Symp

@MedicinalGypsy no problem at all, I was in bed for two days, still trying to shake this chest infection, You might have had problems checking in since they have a new process now. It should be easy enough once you get in the first time.
