Re: Depression

I spoke to my husband and he agreed with me that I should resign. I did this this afternoon. One day a week would not cover the travel and parking costs.. I am thinking that I might contact an employment agency that specialises in mental health. Has anyone had any luck with these services?

Re: Depression

Hi @Ma60
I was so disappointed when I read your post about your hours being reduced. It doesn't seem fair.
I'm glad you're doing what's right by you, financially and psychologically.
I haven't had direct experience with employment agencies, but it wouldn't hurt to have a chat with them. It doesn't mean you have to stop looking yourself.. just gives you an extra avenue to explore.

May I ask, when you resigned, did you tell them the impact of the reduction of days had on you?

Educating workplaces on the negative consequences of their actions is the only way they will improve (if they are open to it of course).

Re: Depression

Work already knew my husband had been made redundant, so they knew things are rough. I contacted a DES service today waiting for them to get back to me. Today has been tough for me I feel lost.
