it has been so hard. I really miss her and my daughter is shattered. Just pushing on though. It is really hard but just remembering the nice times. It does teach you to appreciate the nice things in life. When I had Paris with me she was an awesome comfort but I was so lost in my own world I didn’t fully appreciate how lucky I was. Now I can appreciate how special she was.

Totally true. And I remember that Paris was for your daughter's anxiety. She must be heart broken. Would she consider getting another dog? @Rockdog

Not sure @tyme if she will get another one. She just wants Paris so it it pretty hard at the moment. She is heart broken.

It's natural to be grieving @Rockdog . Grief comes with any loss. Yet through your own experiences, it doesn't mean she cannot regain that love and care for another one.

You would know only too well what it is like to have your whole heart for your beloved one. And Paris is her dear one.

you are so right. It does work like that but you will always have that love in your heart. It is just so hard to deal with. There will never be another Paris just like there will never be another Ruby. I guess life is dealing with love and loss.

Yes. I've had other dogs in my life. I've had Allie, and Zac. I loved them both dearly and I still do. But it doesn't mean I can't love Ruby either. 

Give your daughter time.

I'm just so so proud of you @Rockdog . Every time I think of your progress, it makes me smile (even if it doesn't feel like progress to you, I know it is!).

Keep being you. You have such a big, open and honest heart. You deserve THE BEST 🙂 @Rockdog
