An update on my partner

.
I went and saw him today, and although he is still critical, the doctors have said he is heading in the right direction. He’s more awake today and is currently somewhere between being asleep and awake as they continue to reduce sedation.
He opened his eyes, looked at me, and smiled today, which was really beautiful to see.
They are still being very cautious, and when the time comes to remove life support, it will depend on how well he is able to breathe on his own. But for now, the signs are encouraging, and we are grateful for every small step forward.
Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support. Please keep praying for him.
