My partners update ❤️

I saw him today in hospital and there’s definitely been some really positive progress. They had him half sitting up in bed and facing out the window today. He’s still drifting in and out of consciousness, but he was much more awake today. He was looking around and looking at me, which was really nice.

The really encouraging news is that they’re starting to take him off the respirator for periods of time so he can breathe on his own. So it’s a really positive step that he’s breathing independently.

They also said that within the next few days they’ll likely flatten the balloon in his tracheotomy, which should mean he may be able to speak again in around three to four days.

Today gave me a lot more hope. Thank you everyone for your care, prayers, support, and messages. ❤️
