I had peer support today and one of my friends there, she wrote me this...
There’s a woman I’ve met recently
To whom life hasn’t been fair
There’s been pain and trauma
More than anyone should have to bare
Her resilience is breathtaking
As is her fight to find worth
It seems like she’s getting there
With bravery and mirth
She’s clever and creative
And knows lots of words
Hope she doesn’t mind me saying
She’s a very likeable nerd
She speaks of love for many things
Including God and her cat
There’s also the IGA specials
You can’t argue with that
There’s a group we both attend
She likes it to run on time
Can’t be bothered with paper
When a tablet will do just fine
A book of poems she gave me
Which was a privilege to behold
Her own story she’s still writing
Who knows what will unfold
