Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Sorry to read about your surgeries @Adge  Do you have bowel disease?

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hi @MDT

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

So sorry to hear @Adge

Hope all goes well and you can keep calm.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hi everyone 👋

I haven't read back very far.

Haloumi and onion burgers here for dinner tonight.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Thanks @Angels333 @JB70

At that time it was a Life threatening Bowel Obstruction (Benign Tumor) Volvulus they called it.

Total obstruction, would not have survived without immediate surgery (to remove it) - turned out it wasn't cancerous.

Bowel rejoin failed (after 1st emergency surgery) - Septic infection, tummy expanded like a Balloon.

So had 2nd emergency surgery - was given a Stoma (bowel disconnected) with bag.

Then 3rd surgery (6 months later) - was to remove Stoma, & reconnect bowels.

Staples were taken out too early, wound split (very large Hernia) - so had 4th surgery (16 months ago), to remove Hernia.

Now this 5th surgery is to repair the results/ damage left from the last (4th) surgery.

Diverticular Disease of the Colon (large intestine) I now have (whatever that is) - I did not have that at the time of the 1st surgeries.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (now) also - caused by those surgeries, not there before that.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hope this next one really does go smoothly @Adge. Smiley Frustrated

Fancy sausages and mash here. Kransky sausages cooked with mixed vegs (sweet potato, onion, apple, tomato and a bit of barley) and served with spuds.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Thanks @Smc Things should well go very smoothly (this time) - it's just me fearing that they won't (because they didn't the other times).

Yum, I'm a Big Fan of Mash.

Fancy sausages good too.

Sweet potato, onion, apple & barley - sounds really nice.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Your dinners often sound really nice @Smc ..... 😋 ..... taking notes here .....

I hope the surgery goes really well @Adge.   It's not hard to fear the worst when you have encountered bad outcomes before.
