Good news at last - Warning honest unpopular content
I think I may have Cancer.
This is an acceptable disease to die from. It will be more painful but it has some dignitity about it.
Having a proper disease will mean that my choices will be respected.
Hope it's not a false alarm.
So this has been a good week.

Re: Good news at last
I’m sorry about this @Orwellian
have you been properly diagnosed?
i was really sad to read that you feel this way.
I agree with @Eden1919 it would be good if you could put up a notice saying triggering.

Re: Good news at last
No - Not properly diagnosed. It is just suspected at this stage. That is why I said "think" but fingers crossed.
I cannot access the Public Hospital System. Have to pay money to Private Health which is good as some of the local specialist are down to just two Holiday Homes and only one Yacht. They are in need of our help.

Re: Good news at last
I’m sorry I just find this really hard to accept. Saying “fingers crossed “ is so difficult to comprehend. I don’t think anyone would wish to have cancer.
But everyone is different I guess.

They have found cancerous growths.
Probably found too early. So cut out and I just get my bum probed now on a regular basis.
Should see their faces when you say you do not want an anaesthetic as you have a very low opinion of health care. When asked why I said that the primary reason they are there is to make money. They seem to convince themselves they are there to help people. That is not correct, they exploit the fear of patients for profit.

Re: Good news at last - Warning honest unpopular content
Hi Orwellian,
I understand that its an unpopular opinion, but I actually agree that cancer was the best thing that happened to me. In my case I had been trying to get help and support for years and getting nowhere, and then I was diagnosed with breast cancer and suddenly all the help and support that I had needed for years was available! People were throwing it at me. Within 2 weeks I had the help that I had been trying to get for 7 years. All because I had an "acceptable" illness.
The cancer was short lived, like you it was chopped out, but the help and support has thankfully continued now that I am on the radar.
Don't give up. There can be good in the bad. People say cancer is bad, but for me it was a good thing that I am thankful for. Though, I may not be saying that in a few weeks as I am being tested for a recurrence now.
