I'm not sure what to really say so I'm going to say what I feel, I sometimes see tall dark figures that watch me when I sleep and when I see them I get so scared I can't move I just keep looking at it but there's nothing really there, I also sometimes hear my name being called even when I'm alone and it scares me, I sometimes also talk to the voices in my head even tho they are me just different and I just always look crazy cos of it.

Good evening @V1king911 ,
Firstly, welcome to the forums and thank you for reaching out.
We recognise there is a lot going on for you and you are experiencing a level of fear and discomfort because of it.
What are some things you have tried in the past?
I wonder if this thread might be helpful for you at this time: Hearing voices and psychosis 🗯️

That must've been difficult to deal with on your own, and you've shown a lot of strength in reaching out here.
How do you feel about talking to a mental health professional about this? @V1king911
It can be a good step in gaining insight into why you might be hearing/seeing things (sometimes it can be triggered and/or exacerbated by stressors in our lives, substance use, sleep deprivation, etc.).

hey @V1king911 welcome to the forums!
gosh that sounds quite overwhelming, and glad to hear that you're open to reaching out for support. i remember when i first reached out, i had those worries around what my family might think too - but at the end of the day, your health and safety come first.
talking to a professional doesn't mean that it's yours or your family's fault - it might just mean we need some support around finding the right tools to manage our mental health. i hope you're able to be kind to yourself, you're not alone - we all deserve to be heard and supported. i do hope you're able to chat to a GP and start a MHCP when them 💙

G'day Viking!
I'm going to be straight up with you and not beat around the bush, for your benefit.
Firstly, it sounds like you have a pretty reasonable insight into your symptoms, and yes you must start looking at these things you mentioned as symptoms. Symptoms of what? Depends largely on what's going on in your life, your brain, and what mental health professionals call your genetic loading. Both psychosis (out of touch with reality with generally low to zero insight) and neurosis (which is more of an umbrella for an overwhelming anxiety type of mental illness that most often includes a tangible grip on reality) usually have a fair bit to with genetics, as in if you have it someone in your family most likely has it.
Hypnagogic hallucinations are sensory experiences, often visual, that occur as a person is falling asleep. You don't need to be psychotic to experience it. People suffering anxiety are very prone to this and night terrors, so don't be afraid you're loosing your marbles just because of this.
The voices, whilst usually being a sign of psychosis, doesn't always need to be part of a psychotic diagnosis. Extremes of grief & loss, major depression and even again, hypnagogia can all be reasons to be considered.
Either way you must see your local GP. If you are experiencing psychosis then the longer you go without treatment the worse it can get. Depending on your specific situation of course, psychosis can literally be treated by a simple pill. If it's something else like anxiety or depression, why put up with it? Again, a simple pill and some counseling can change your life for the better!
Last piece of advice, please for heavens sake stay away from marijuana and other psychoactive "street" drugs. Regardless of your diagnosis, with the symptoms you're describing, you are extremely likely to be one of those people who will be hyper-sensitive to psychoactive "street" drugs resulting in much more harm to your mental health than anything else.
God bless.
