Changes to YES Surveys - VIC Mental Health Services

YES Surveys

Hi everyone, those involved in a Victorian public mental health service, from Jan - Jun 2025, have an opportunity to share with the govt from today - how this service has (or hasn't) helped you this year.

In the past, this was done via a ballot box in the public mental health service, or a mail-in response rating your experience at the service.

Some changes to the new YES Surveys:

They will run continuously throughout the year - and can be responded to anytime

Surveys can now be done electronically, and you don't need to actually go into the service at all to do them

---

I did my survey today on my laptop - 42 questions in total - could take about 30 minutes. You have the opportunity to elaborate on some answers and others just to rate your satisfaction with the service

Why it matters

---

A lot of Royal Comission promises have been delayed, and unfortunately there have been cuts to the Mental Health and Wellbeing Comission's workforce - there is also unfortunately a lack of peer work prescence in some mental health service's inpatient units, PARCs, ect.

These answers are anonymous and don't go directly to the service, which enable consumers to speak and be honest - and this year - they're easier than ever to do with remote access via a phone/laptop if you have wifi access, and also a phone hotline if you would prefer that method (which I probably would have liked back when I was mostly offline!)

Encourage everyone who is a consumer or carer in vic public mental health to speak - together we can actually hold the Govt accountable for making services progressive, trauma-informed, wholistic, and most importantly, SAFE for us all.

Re: Changes to YES Surveys - VIC Mental Health Services

Consumers and their carers may receive texts today pointing them in the direction of the survey - it's a link, and a phone number to call as well.

If anyone needs any help or info please ask me as I am happy to assist.

hey @Glisten i got the link on my phone which i dont have atm as i'm in a ward, but I'm going to see if there's a generic link. I believe there's also a phone number to call and you can do the survey using that phone number
