Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Wow @Blackcloud when I read what you said:

… I mentioned about that it’s sad we live in a world where the entire population in this world aren’t willing to go out their way to help those out that are struggling and really need a shoulder to cry on.“

I was amazed because you are paraphrasing what my son said to me on Monday night.

The generations of my family are diagnosed ND.

My son is very kind, generous and has a lot of empathy. In his teens it wasn’t uncommon for him to sit on the road curb with a stranger to make sure that they were ok, regardless of how freaked out I was about it. Instead of getting annoyed at him for putting himself in a potential life threatening situation, I thought maybe he can see or sense something that I can’t. So I asked him.
I had to trust his skills and awareness, over my parental fear.

@Blackcloud when you wrote about:

the host person read my message, then when it got to the emojis part that I included in that message, she made some faces to replicate the faces of the emojis which I thought was very unnecessary and the rest of the group were having a bit of a laugh about those ‘emoji’ faces she made and then they were all talking about emojis for a whole ass minute… also, none of them had anything to say about what I wrote except for one person

I am so sorry that happened to you. You trusted the host and then got disrespected for your efforts.
I use humour as a coping mechanism around family and friends, or when no one can hear me. But you are that organisation’s/host’s client - Not for long I expect.

The host’s actions are not to be tolerated. That isn’t what support looks like.

@Jynx feel free to correct me, if I’m wrong.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Black Shows Colourful In The Light

Eyes straining hard to find their sight,
pupils widening against the darkest night,
trying to see beyond the crushing black
that swallowed every colour back.
Then suddenly, a brilliant beam broke through,
piercing blindness with a brighter view.
At once, far more than black and white
filled the vision of my sight.
A new world rich with colour came alive,
as sunlight caused the night to dissolve and die.
And through that warmth, so deep and bright,
True Love melted frozen hearts to life.

@Chasingsunsets hey there, that's an interesting post. I am not doing well. Fear of going into psychosis again. Thoughts are not clear. Not sure if paranoid thinking.
