Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Are you fond of animals? I find when I am not coping very well my animals know it and calm me. It’s the simple things that have often helped on a day to day basis. Sometimes I just sit in the garden and listen to the birds or the frogs and crickets. If you feel like it might be time to change something then that’s good something small can always lead to bigger things. One da6 at a time.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@Wanderer Physical restrictions and pain can hold us back from doing so much and combine that with MI and it often seems impossible to do things. There was a time that I culd barely walk to the front door from pain so I know how restricting it is and really feel for you @Wanderer

Morning @Carlachris @eth @TAB Smiley Very Happy

It is going well @nashy Smiley Happy

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Oh. Oops. @eth um yeah wasn’t really re numbers at school, but had another go at it early on when at uni forever ago. Loved it. I like it when things make sense. Or was that add up lol

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Gotta love the Griswalds @nashy @Zoe7

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Hi @Zoe7 well done for getting past that stage. My aches have aches this morning. Cool and super humid might be part of that. Rain threatening/trying so bailed on walk, think could have done it now. D amn.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

I find it very hard time of year because of all the commercial nonsense. The pushing and greed and busy pace of HAVING to get things done. Overworking to buy things outside of the family budget that is very tight anyway. It’s all so unrealistic and unnessecary. I just want to spend time with our children and grandkids. The whole gift giving thing is way out of step with society.  People don’t need more “stuff”. We need each other saying it’s ok. And hugs ....many more hugs.

I have a very small tree and I wasn’t going to put it up but I will today. I’m going to decorate it with bubblegum and go and gift a box of new toys and coloring in books to our local toy fund. It’s been a very hard year not just for us but lots of working poor.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

It took a lot of time and work in the pool @TAB Some days are better than others still and plenty of rest days also needed inbetween. Living with pain is not good at all and whilst much of mine has gone most days I understand how debilitating it can be. @Wanderer

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

I have always put presents under the giving tree but funds are so tight this year that I can barely afford anything for my family @Carlachris I need to wait until my car is serviced tomorrow to see how much that is then hopefully I have enough left to get something small for everyone. My Mother's birthday is the day after christmas so I need to get her something for that as well - hopefully I will get paid early because of the christmas break and that will help.I do agree that christmas is way too commercialised - sadly that is the way with many of our special days - the meaning of those days has become more of a second thought for so many.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

I live with chronic pain as I was born with what they used to refer to as a club foot. It was fixed when I was only days old but has lead to severe arthritis now in my 50s. Lots of operations and knee and hip replacements. It’s been a journey at times. I really am a weather barometer. And this weather is bringing me very down. Need to get into the city today at the eye and ear hospital for an injection. My darling hubby will be with me but of course by the end of the day we will both be a mess. He will be over stimulated Aspergers , MI and me unable to see clearly until tomorrow. Lucky to come home to the peace and quiet of the mountains. Very blessed in many ways but at times miss the me I used to be before pain. Looking forward to this messed up screwed up weather settling down a bit. Everything is better when the sun shines softly.
